For the last decennia now, football has become a money generating machine. Players are bought and sold and tremendous amounts of money and clubs are pimping their stadions and image all with the money of their loyal supporters. Offcourse this loyalty is bought trough advertising, another powerful instrument.
Real Madrid made about 450 million dollars last year, that is without expenses, which makes them still the leading richest football club in the world.
Also Manchester United is aiming for this position, so it could get exciting there. With their lasts year revenue of 410 million dollars you never know...

While Pirlo scored a goal against Milan, Ronaldo got carried off the field after a nice hit with Vidigal from Livorno.
Ronaldo's knee is screwed and will need some serious revalidation. He will be out for at least the rest of the season, and some even fear his carreer is over. This incident equaled the score for Livorno to 1-1
